Why movement matters:

Our bodies are built for movement, and every part of it, whether muscles, joints, organs, skin, etc., benefit from movement. It is a fundamental aspect of life. Being active not only strengthens the bones and muscles but also reduces the risk of diseases, helps manage weight, decreases chronic pain, anxiety, and depression, improves sleep and cognitive function, and makes you happier!

My approach is to determine what is important to you and to support you in reaching your goals with a bespoke plan and ongoing support. I will help you to build a strong, flexible, and resilient body to enable you to do what you love: free and fearless.

Franziska_MoMaPilates

I am Franziska; a certified Pilates teacher and Soft Tissue Therapist. I work at a boutique Pilates Studio and in a Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic, both in Cambridge, I gained my Pilates qualification with APPI and Breathe Education and my Soft Tissue Therapy Diploma with the Cambridge School of Sports Massage. I was born and grew up in Switzerland, lived for a couple of years in the States, and have now lived for over five years in Cambridge. I am fascinated about movement for as long as I can remember; it is such a big part of who I am. I love to run and try to participate in at least one marathon every year. I am cycling together with my husband, walking our dog daily, I enjoy the outdoors with all its climbing, swimming, paddling, skiing, and I love to play tennis even though I am not as good in it as other fellow countrymen.  Pilates has been going along with me for years, assisted me through two pregnancies, helped me recover from all kinds of injuries and supported me (and still does) on my running journey. I absolutely love the way it makes me feel. I want you to find the same joy and satisfaction in movement as I do and discover the amazing things our bodies are able to do.
